Current carrying capacity of wires

AS PER THUMB RULE THE CURRENT CARRYING CAPACITY OF WIRE 

IS 4 TIMES OF ITS CROSSECTIONAL AREA OF WIRE 

i.e. 

10 sq.mm wire carrying maximum current 40 amp , 
16 sq.mm carrying maximum current 64 amp ,

now amp convert in watt by multiplying by volt i.e. 240

16 sq.mm carrying max load 64x240= 15360 watt


बिजली की तारों की करन्ट उठाने की क्षमता 

अंदाजा लगाने का आसान तरीका 

तार का साईज  स्क़ुएर एम् एम् x 4 

10 स्क़ुएर एम् एम्  तार का साईज 

करन्ट उठाने की क्षमता = 10 x 4 =40 amperes

1.5 sq mm     6 amps
2.5 sq mm   10 amps
  4 sq mm    16 amps
  6 sq mm     24 amps

एम्पीअर्ज को वाट्स में बदलो , 
जब लाइन में 240 वोल्ट  

 6 एम्प्स  x 240 वोल्ट = 1440 वाट्स 
10 एम्प्स x 240 वोल्ट = 2400 वाट्स 
16 एम्प्स x 240 वोल्ट = 3840 वाट्स 
24 एम्प्स x 240 वोल्ट = 5760 वाट्स
